Salado High School Mourns Loss of Senior
The Salado community is grieving the death of a Salado High School senior who was killed in a crash in Cedar Park Monday night.
Details of the Fatal Cedar Park Accident
KCEN reports Victoria DeKay was killed around 6 pm Monday when she was ejected from a vehicle that overturned on the 183-A tollway in Cedar Park.
A witness at the scene told authorities that the 2012 GMC Terrain DeKay was traveling in drifted to the right after passing him and struck a barrier. The vehicle then rolled over, and DeKay was thrown from the vehicle.DeKay was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second occupant of the Terrain was transported to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center with serious injuries.
School counselors, crisis counselors, and local pastors are available for students impacted by the tragic loss of life.

- It is estimated that a person was killed in a traffic crash in Texas every 2 hours and 29 minutes in 2015.
