Police report that a Baltimore County school bus dragged a 4-year-old girl after her backpack got stuck in the door.
Julia Hardgrove, Baltimore County Police spokeswoman, reports that the girl, who is a preschool student attending Pine Grove Elementary School, was leaving the drop off at Manor Road and Old Carriage Road when the accident happened.
According to Hardgrove, after the officials got the emergency call at 4:11 p.m., they discovered that the girl’s backpack was stuck in the door. Unfortunately, the driver had driven forward a short distance. The spokeswoman could not explain exactly how the girl was dragged.
The girl sustained non-life threatening injuries, and she was transported to the hospital.
Hardgrove added that the bus driver remained at the scene while the police officers investigated.
