A 15-year-old girl has died from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident in Corpus Christi early Saturday morning.
Preliminary reports indicate the operator of the motorcycle, Clay Moore, 22, was speeding when he struck a curb and lost control of the vehicles. Both Moore and his 15-year-old passenger, Shina Cuevas, were thrown from the vehicle.
Moore was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident; however, Cuevas was not – she was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital with severe head injuries. Unfortunately, Cuevas later succumbed to her injures.
