Texas Bridge Accident Under Investigation

A young girl was killed and her mother was injured in a Texas bridge accident that happened in Sealy.

About the Accident

Multiple sources are reporting that an accident in Sealy, Texas at the intersection of Highway 36 and Highway 90 left one child dead and her mother injured. The accident occurred when an 18-wheeler came in contact with a bridge above the highway it was driving on.

Although there were multiple warning signs, the driver did not stop the vehicle. The 18-wheeler collided with the bridge, knocking off a section of concrete and dislodging a beam. A portion of concrete fell onto Leah Bullock’s car, injuring her and killing her 12-year-old daughter, Bre’in Bullock. The accident is being investigated as a homicide because of the multiple warning signs.

It was also noted that the truck’s boom was raised during the accident as Chief Noble stated “the truck’s boom indicator light was buzzing and illuminated when officers arrived at the scene of the accident.” The truck belongs to Texas Disposal Systems, Inc., out of Buda, Texas. The company is up to date on their inspections and does not have a notable history of accidents. The driver of the truck, 72-year-old Carl Weige, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy and was soon released to be tested for drugs and alcohol.
