Three Rivers 18-Wheeler Accident Leave One Dead
A head-on collision occurred between two 18-wheelers occurred near Three Rivers Thursday, leaving one man dead.
Authorities Investigate Corpus Christi Trucking Accident
KIIITV News reports that the head-on collision between two 18-wheelers occurred on State Highway 72, six miles east of Three Rivers, left one man dead.
The victim was 63-year old Billy Stevens Ransom, Sr., of Temple Texas.
Ransom was driving eastbound carrying a type of sand used for fracking in the oil field in his trailer. Another 18-wheeler traveling west veered into oncoming traffic and collided with Ransom’s 18-wheeler.
Ransom was killed at the scene and the driver of the other truck was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is under investigation. Drive fatigue is believed to have played a role in the accident.
