Two Bicyclists Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver

According to WRAL, two bicyclists were hospitalized following a hit-and-run wreck Monday afternoon in Cary, North Carolina.

Driver Stopped to Remove Bike from Hood, witness says

Christopher Moore, 33, is charged with two felony hit-and-run counts following a crash involving two bicyclists.

A group of four people on bikes traveled on High House Road near Bond Park at around 6:45 p.m. local time on Monday. Moore approached the bicyclists from behind and struck two of them, knocking them to the road.

A man who called 911 on Moore said he spotted the man removing a bike from the windshield of his Saturn when he stopped in his neighborhood.

According to WRAL, the two victims are Ginny Davis, 55, and Lori Cove, 48. They received treatment for serious injuries at WakeMed, but their conditions are unknown as of Wednesday.

Moore’s previous rap sheet includes six convictions for driving while impaired.
