Two Dead in Cedar Creek Crash
DPS reports that two people were killed early Saturday morning when two cars collided in Cedar Creek.
Details of the Cedar Creek Crash
According to KEYE-TV, the crash occurred around 1:20 am at the intersection of SH 21 and Laredo Drive.
The scene was described as a head-on collision. Two people were pinned in one of the vehicles and were pronounced dead at the scene.
At least one of the vehicles caught fire after the crash.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.

The following information was provided by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT):
- 3,531 people were killed in traffic accidents in Texas in 2015, marking little change from the 3,536 deaths reported in 2014.
- 807 of the fatalities recorded in 2015 occurred at intersections, and 581 were associated with head-on collisions.
- An additional 246,335 people were injured in traffic crashes in Texas in 2015.
- TxDOT estimates a reportable crash occurred every 61 seconds in 2015.
