Two men are dead following a drunk driving accident that occurred in Northwest Dallas early Sunday morning.
According to CBS-DFW, the fatal crash occurred just after 2 am on Walnut Hill Lane near Webb Chapel Road.
Preliminary reports indicate that the crash occurred when a Ford Mustang rear-ended another vehicle while traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver of the Mustang, 23-year-old Nicklous Mendoza, was transported to the hospital. The two men in the other vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police determined that Mendoza was driving while under the influence of alcohol and charged him with two counts of intoxication manslaughter. The incident remains under investigation.
