8th Annual Thomas J. Henry Bark in the Park Comes to San Antonio on October 29th
Thomas J. Henry Bark in the Park Returns to San Antonio as a Live, In-Person Event
SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 21, 2022) – The eighth annual Thomas J. Henry Bark in the Park Howl-o-Ween Pet Costume Contest and Expo will be returning to the Sunken Garden Theater in San Antonio on Saturday, October 29th!
This year’s event will be the first time the event is held in person since 2019. The event was held as a virtual contest in 2020 and 2021 in response to COVID-19.
The family-friendly event, which raises money for local pet rescues, will begin a 4 pm and features a new “Groovy 70s” theme as well as dozens of pet vendors, food trucks, pets for adoption, a kid’s zone with bounce houses and games, and free face painting.
The entire event centers on the pet costume contest, which runs on multiple stages all day long. Costume contest prizes range from $100 for all semi-finalists all the way up to $1,000 for our 1st Place winner!
The event is free to the public. All proceeds from the event, including contest registration fees and vendor fees, go directly to San Antonio Pets Alive (SAPA) and Animal Defense League of Texas (ADL).
Contestants can pre-register their pets for $7 at bark.tjhlaw.com or register on-site the day of the event for $10 (cash only).
Thomas J. Henry Law will also be hosting a Bark in the Park event in Corpus Christi on October 8th, 2022. That event will be at Water’s Edge Park off Shoreline Boulevard. This will mark the 10th year the event is held in Corpus Christi.
