Thomas J. Henry Sues National Trucking Company Transwood Logisitics, Inc.

Thomas J. Henry, a national personal injury attorney, sued Transwood Logistics, Inc., a trucking company which operates a large fleet of trucks throughout the United States. Mr. Henry, on behalf of his client, Martin Perez, sued for $90,000,000 for injuries sustained during the accident. Mr. Perez suffered multiple injuries to his spinal cord, resulting in a cervical and lumbar surgery.

The plaintiff alleged that this collision occurred because the driver of the truck was not legally qualified to work, nor operate the truck, at the time of the accident. Furthermore, the driver was reckless and careless in his operation of the large commercial vehicle.

Thomas J. Henry was also able to discover the driver’s poor driving record and previous drug history, all of which Transwood Logistics Inc. should have discovered during the hiring process and/or during employment. Mr. Henry delivered his opening argument and it quickly became clear that the financial exposure Transwood Logistics Inc. was facing was enormous. Within minutes of finishing his opening argument, the defendants, Transwood Logistics, Inc. and the defendant driver entered into a confidential settlement.
