Driver Arrested After Crash Near UTSA, Woman Left in Serious Condition

A driver has been arrested and faces charges after crashing his car near the University of Texas at San Antonio campus, leaving a woman hospitalized in serious condition.

Details of the UTSA Car Accident

According to News 4 SA, the crash occurred Thursday just before 2:30 am. Police say the driver was speeding on UTSA Boulevard when he veered off the road and crashed into a utility pole. The vehicle then rolled several times.

A female passenger in the vehicle was injured and taken to the hospital in serious condition. The driver suffered minor injuries.

Police say the driver was charged with intoxication assault. The accident remains under investigation.
