4-Year-Old Girl Dies in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-35W in Burleson
According to the Star-Telegram, a four vehicle crash on I-35W killed a 4-year-old child in Burleson last Tuesday morning.
About the Fatal Burleson Crash
According to city spokeswoman DeAnna Phillips, a Ford SUV hit the rear of a Honda sedan with two 4-year-old passengers. The collision then caused the Honda sedan to crash into a Chevy pickup, and the Chevy pickup crashed into a Chevy SUV.
Phillips reported that Burleson Police and fire department arrived to the scene on the 800 block of northbound I-35W at 7:45 a.m.
According to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office, 4-year-old Sofia Cardenas was taken to Cook Children’s hospital in Fort Worth by CareFlite. She died at the hospital.
The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital his conditions are unknown.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
