Aunt Jemima Frozen Pancakes, Waffles, and French Toast Recalled for Listeria Concerns
Pinnacle Foods Inc. has issued a nationwide recall for certain Aunt Jemima products due to possible listeria contamination.
Details of the Aunt Jemima Recall
According to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recall affects all “Best by” dates of Aunt Jemima frozen pancakes, frozen waffles, and frozen French toast.
The recall as issued Friday after Pinnacle Foods after lab testing indicated possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
Customers should return affected products to their place of purchase for a full refund. Aunt Jemima syrups and dry mixes are unaffected by the recall.
