Police in Austin, Texas are looking for the driver who allegedly hit a cyclist and drove away early Monday morning.
The accident occurred around 2:30 am on Cameron Road near Clayton Lane and Interstate Highway 35.
Austin Police told KVUE the victim and another person were working on a bike on the side of the road in the bike lane when a truck allegedly hit her. Police are looking for a white Dodge pickup that fled the scene.
According to EMS, the woman, believed to be in her 20s, was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. Medics relayed that they were able to regain a pulse before she returned to the hospital.
Approximately an hour after the crash, a white pickup truck was spotted less than one mile down the road from where the woman was hit. Police later confirmed that the woman died and the suspected vehicle had been located, though no arrests have been made.
