Austin School Bus Crashes While Attempting to Avoid Oncoming Car

Authorities are investigating an incident in which an Austin Independent School District bus crashed while apparently trying to avoid an oncoming vehicle on a southwest Austin farm-to-market road.

Details of the Austin Bus Accident

According to KXAN, Austin ISD Bus 0907 was traveling on FM 1826 when it swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle. The bus went off the road way and appears to have overturned.

Fortunately, no students were on board the bus when the crash happened. The condition of the driver was not immediately available.

Police say the bus was totaled in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
