Car Slams into Daycare, Injuring Six Children Inside
According to the San Antonio Express-News, six children were injured after a woman crashes her car through the front of a daycare in Cibolo, Texas, on Friday morning.
Details of Injury Accident
A scary scene unfolded at the Choo Choo Xpress Child Care Center located at 750 Schneider Drive at around 10:42 a.m. Children were gathered on the floor of the daycare when a car crashed through the wall.
Six out of the forty children inside the daycare at the time of the crash were hospitalized with varying injuries. The San Antonio Express-News reports that four of the children were released on Friday afternoon. The daycare’s manager said one of the children appeared more seriously injured than the others, suffering from minor rib fractures.
The driver of the Mercedes SUV, reportedly an elderly woman, was also taken to a nearby hospital. The Cibolo Police Department says the woman pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal, causing her to crash into the daycare, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
