Daimler AG to Recall 1 Million Mercedes-Benz Vehicles


Daimler AG has announced plans to recall roughly 1 million newer-model Mercedes-Benz vehicles following 51 reports of vehicle fires caused by a defective fuse.
About the Mercedes-Benz Recall
While Daimler AG has not received any reports of injury or death, the German automaker is opting for a voluntary recall to repair or replace the defective fuse.
Automotive News reports that more than 300,000 of the one million vehicles being recalled are in the U.S. and that 30 of the 51 fires reported occurred in the U.S. market.
Recalls in the U.S. are expected to begin in July when parts are available.

- 2015-2017 Mercedes C-Class
- 2015-2017 Mercedes E-Class
- 2015-2017 Mercedes CLA
- 2015-2017 Mercedes GLA
- 2015-2017 Mercedes GLC
