Debris in Road from Semi-Truck Causes Fatal Car Accident

According to New Jersey On-Line, a man was killed after debris from an 18-wheeler caused him to drive off the road in Windsor, New Jersey, on Wednesday morning.

About the Fatal Car Accident

The fatal car crash occurred on Route 1 near Quakerbridge Road at around 12:30 a.m. local time. Gerard Haburay, 63, was driving north on Route 1 in a Dodge van when he swerved to avoid debris in the roadway. Haburay left the road and crashed into several trees.

New Jersey On-Line reports that Haburay was transported to a hospital but would later succumb to his injuries. Officials say a northbound tractor-trailer left debris in the road that caused the fatal crash.

The accident is currently under investigation. Police are searching for witnesses who may have seen the tractor-trailer that left the debris, reports New Jersey On-Line.
