According to CNBC, Ford Motor Company recalled 830,000 vehicles on Thursday in response to a door latch malfunction that was discovered in some Ford and Lincoln vehicles.
The recall is based around an improper side door latch which can come undone while driving, leading to serious risk of injury.
Ford has said there is one reported accident and one reported injury related to the malfunction so far.
Owners of these vehicles are advised to return to a Ford dealer for a free replacement door or latch repair.

The vast majority of vehicles were sold in the U.S., but around 60,000 vehicles were sold in Mexico.
