Ford is issuing a recall on 2,592 Ford Transit Connect vehicles because a defect in the panoramic roof bond may cause it to separate from the vehicle while driving.
According to Ford, an improper bond between the panoramic roof and the body of the vehicle spurred the recall. The defective bond can cause wind noise, water leaks, and separation of the panoramic roof from the recalled vehicle.
Roof separation while driving could increase the risk of crash and injury. No crashes or injuries have been reported due to the panoramic roof issue, according to Ford.
Dealers will provide a free removal, cleaning, and reinstallation of the panoramic roof on the recalled vehicles.
