Houston Woman Killed in Accident at Intersection

A woman was killed in a hit-and run-accident in Houston that happened on Sunday.

Details about the Fatal Hit and Run

Multiple sources are reporting that the Houston police department is working to investigate an accident in which a woman was killed in a hit and run on the 4900 block of East Crosstimbers Street on Sunday afternoon.

Police have stated that the woman was driving a white Nissan Altima heading west on East Crosstimbers at about 1:05 p.m. when she came to a stop at the red light of the intersection with Lockwood Drive. Another vehicle was next to the Altima, and when the light turned green, another vehicle allegedly ran a red light and hit both the Altima and the vehicle next to it.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene of the accident on foot and is currently wanted by police.

The driver of the Altima was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
