Mamas & Papas is issuing a recall on approximately 3,000 of their Armadillo Flip strollers due to a fall risk for infants.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), a loose latch can cause the seat to tip back when the infant is in the parent-facing position.
The company received 10 reports from consumers of seats tipping back. No injuries have been linked to the malfunction.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled strollers immediately and contact Mamas & Papas for a repair, free of charge.
The recall includes Mamas & Papas Armadillo Flip and Armadillo Flip XT strollers. All models are folding, single-occupant strollers. These strollers come in a variety of colors including, black, teal, and navy.
The recall includes the following lot numbers:
The lot number can be found on the sewn-in label on the stroller.
The recalled products were sold nationwide between December 2014 and July 2016 at several locations, including at Albee Baby, Babies ‘R’ Us, and Buy Buy Baby. The strollers were also sold on the Mamas & Papas website and Amazon.com.
