Man Attacks Bexar County Deputies Responding to Car Crash

Authorities are pursuing charges against a suspected accused of firing a gun at Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies before driving a vehicle into a patrol car as he attempted to flee the scene.

About the Bexar County Accident and Resulting Mayhem

According to Fox 29 News, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges against a male assailant who shot bullets at their deputies near the scene of a car crash. After discharging his weapon, the culprit also drove headfirst into a patrol car after a failed escape attempt from the scene.

The crash and succeeding shooting happened during the late afternoon of January 18.

Originally, authorities were responding car crash involving two cars on FM 78 and Walzem Road prior to the shooting. Soon after, the assailant drove onto the scene and began firing shots at the officers. As deputies began chasing down his vehicle, he allegedly crashed into another patrol car while making a desperate U-turn.

After the crash, the suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot before being caught and arrested. So far, the male has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
