Nearly 1 million pounds of “ready-to-eat” chicken products have been recalled due to reports that metal objects have been found in the food.
ABC News reports OK Foods Inc. has recalled 933,272 pounds of its breaded chicken products due to the possibility of metal and material contamination.
According to the USDA, the recall was initiated after five consumers complained of metal objects being found in “ready-to-eat” chicken products produced by OK Foods Inc. An internal investigation determined the objects came from metal conveyor belting.
So far there have been no reports of adverse reactions caused by the metal contaminants.
Currently, the recall covers the following products:
