Pedestrian Killed by Tow Truck in Hit-and-Run Crash

According to Local10, a tow truck driver struck a pedestrian crossing the street in Davie, Florida, killing the woman and leaving the scene afterward.

Driver Turned Himself In to Police

Fadel Thelisdort, 32, struck the pedestrian while driving on State Road 7. Police say the female pedestrian attempted to cross the road when she was struck by the tow truck. Local10 reports that Thelisdort had a green light at the time.

After hitting the pedestrian, Thelisdort drove off. He faces a charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving death, according to Local10.

Police identified the tow truck from the pieces of the truck left behind at the scene and with help from witnesses. According to Local10, Thelisdort said he left the scene because he didn’t who what else he could do.
