According to Fox 29 San Antonio, the exact reason behind the death of a San Antonio woman is unknown after she died suddenly following an allergy shot.

Extremely Rare Occurrence, says Allergist

Dawn Mulder, a librarian at Rolling Meadows Elementary in San Antonio, received an allergy shot last week before she unexpectedly passed away. According to Fox 29 San Antonio, the medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

A local allergist told Fox 29 San Antonio that a serious reaction to an allergy shot, especially death, would be an extremely rare occurrence. He said he has never seen a death happening due to an allergy shot in 32 years of practicing in San Antonio.

Mulder leaves behind a husband and four children, reports Fox 29 San Antonio.
