Sargent Art Recalls Craft Paints over Bacteria Risk
Sargent Art is issuing a recall on 2.8 million units of paint in the United States due to a potential contamination with a harmful bacteria.
About the Sargent Art Craft Paint Recall
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled products can contain harmful bacteria, which can have adverse health effects in people with weakened or compromised immune systems.
Serious illnesses can be caused, including bacterial infection. In general, consumers with healthy immune systems are not affected by the bacteria.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled paint products. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled products and contact Sargent Art for a full refund.

The recall includes 13 types of Sargent Art tempera and finger paints. The following types of paints are included:

The products were sold between May 2015 and June 2016.
