Target Recalls 480,000 Infant Rompers and Children’s Swimsuits
Target has chosen to recall certain of their infant rompers and children’s swimsuits after multiple reports of snaps breaking, detaching, or causing injury to children and infants.
About the Romper and Swimsuit Recalls
According to Today, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced both recalls on Dec. 30, 2020, after Target received 27 reports of snapping, breaking, detaching, or missing snaps on their rompers and swimsuits. One report told of an incident of a child being pinched and scratched.
The CPSC is urging consumers who purchased the products to return them for a refund. They also say that people who purchased items online at Target.com can contact Target to receive a prepaid return label.

Recall Details for Target Rompers
According to the SPSC, the rompers were sold in sizes newborn to 12 months and approximately 299,000 rompers in total were recalled. The recalled baby rompers include the following:
- Cloud Island Waterfront Baby Boutique Rompers
- Cloud Island Little Peanut and True Navy Rompers
- Cloud Island Little Wildflower and Joyful Mint Rompers
- Cloud Island Oh Honeybee and Pink Rompers
- Cloud Island Floral Fields and Mint Rompers
Recall Details for the Target Swimsuits
According to the SPSC, the infant and toddler swimsuits were sold in sizes 12M to 5T. About 181,000 swimsuits are being recalled in the following types:
- Cat & Jack Summer Blue Lemon
- Coral Icon Story Hawaiian
- Moxie Peach Lemon
