Two Contractors Killed in Culberson County Crash

Two El Paso men are dead following a crash on Interstate 10 in Culberson County.

About the Fatal Culberson County Crash

According to KVIA, the fatal crash occurred Monday afternoon about 12 miles east of Van Horn. The deceased have been identified as Juan Madrid, 21, and Christopher Guerra, 38.

A third man, 30-year-old Francisco Hernandez, was also injured in the accident.

The collision occurred when a Volvo tractor-trailer driven by 24-year-old Muzaffar Ummatov collided with an unoccupied Ford pickup which then struck a traffic control truck. The truck then hit the workers.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, then men were contracted to do repair work on the interstate.
