Woman Critically Injured in Single Vehicle Crash

A woman was ejected from her vehicle during a rollover accident in San Antonio.

Details about the Rollover Accident

The San Antonio Express-News is reporting that a woman in her 20s was seriously injured on Tuesday after being involved in an involved in an accident in which she lost control of her SUV on Loop 1604 in the San Antonio area and slammed into a concrete wall on the north side of the city.

According to investigators from the San Antonio Police Department, the accident happened just after 11 a.m. near the exit for Judson Road,

A spokesperson from the San Antonio Police Department has stated that the woman has been identified as 21-year-old Sonja Smeding. Smeding was thrown from the vehicle during the collision. The woman was taken to the San Antonio Medical Military Center with life threatening injuries via helicopter.

At this point in the investigation, the incident appears to be a single vehicle accident, and no other injuries have been reported.
