Woman Killed, Husband Hospitalized in Houston Car Collision
According to KPRC2, a woman is dead and a man injured after a car crash in Houston, north of downtown, on Sunday morning.
Details of the Fatal Accident
The married couple traveled west on Tidwell Road in their maroon pickup truck at around 7:30 a.m. when the accident occurred. Police say a motorist in a white van traveling southbound on Aldine Westfield blew through the traffic light and crashed into the truck at the intersection.
The woman, the passenger in the truck, received treatment at Ben Taub Hospital but later died of her injuries. Her husband sustained injuries in the collision and is being treated at Ben Taub Hospital.
The man driving the white van is also receiving treatment at a hospital, reports KPRC2. The investigation into the fatal auto accident is ongoing, and police are unsure if alcohol played a role.
