Woman Killed in Corpus Christi Hit-and-Run

Officials have identified a young woman who was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash along Interstate 37 last month.

Details of the Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision

According to KRIS-TV, 23-year-old Alyssa Gonzales was killed on April 25, 2021 after being struck by a car on I-37 near Suntide Road.

Police say Gonzales exited her car to retrieve an item that flew out of the vehicle. As she returned to her car, Gonzales was struck by a black passenger vehicle which did not stop and render aid.

Detectives investigating the hit-and-run later discover the suspected vehicle, identified as a black Kia vehicle with heavy front-end damage.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crash or the driver involved to call Crimestoppers at 361-888-TIPS (8477) or to call the CCPD non-emergency line at 361-888-2600.
