Woman Killed in Sterling Heights Collision
A 50-year-old woman was pronounced dead after her vehicle collided with a Ford Explorer on June 3rd.
About the Fatal Collision
The deadly accident occurred around midnight in Sterling Heights on 17 mile between Mound and Ryan.
According to WXYZ, an 18-year-old male driver crossed the center line in his Ford Explorer before colliding head-on with a Kia Rio.
The dead woman was driving the Kia and immediately died after crashing against the Ford Explorer. A 35-year-old passenger was inside the Kia as well, but is expected to recover soon.
The 18-year-old driving the Ford Explorer only has minor injuries
Sterling Heights Accident Statistics
- In 2015, there were 24, 862 car accidents in Macomb County, where Sterling Heights is located.
- Of those colliisions, 55 were fatal.
