Bedroom Chest Recall for Bob’s Discount Furniture
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of a bedroom chest sold by Bob’s Discount Furniture on December 18th. It has been cited as potentially dangerous.
Summary of the Bob’s Discount Furniture Recall
The units are described by the CPSC as “unstable and can tip over if not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children,” according to a spokesperson.
They added, “The chests do not comply with the performance requirements of the U.S. voluntary industry standard.”
This recall is a reminder to retailers not to sell furniture if it does not meet industry standards for stability.
