Four people were injured, two critically, and one person has been arrested on DWI charges as a result of a two-vehicle crash on San Antonio’s Northwest Side.

Details of the Northwest San Antonio Accident

According to KSAT, the crash occurred just after midnight on Wurzbach Road, close to the Medical Center area.

Police say a red Ford Focus was pulling out of the parking lot of a McDonald’s or Shell gas station when it was t-boned by a white Nissan Rogue traveling westbound on Wurzbach Road. Police added that the Nissan was traveling at a high rate of speed and that the driver of the Ford failed to yield the right of way and turned in front of the Nissan.

The Nissan struck the driver-side of the Ford. A 38-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were transported to University Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Nissan and a passenger of the Ford were also taken to University Hospital with non-critical injuries.

Authorities say the driver of the Nissan admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and was evaluated for intoxication. The driver was charged with DWI.
