According to KRIS-TV, the crash occurred around 11 am near the intersection of South Padre Island Drive and Flynn Avenue.
Police say a person was on a motor scooter when he was involved in a collision with a dump truck. Details on how the crash occurred or who was at fault were not immediately available.
The scooter rider was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
