2 Adults, 4 Children Injured in Tyler Trucking Accident
Two adults and four children were transported to the hospital Tuesday evening following a truck accident on Highway 64 West in Tyler, Texas.
Details of the Tyler Truck Accident
According to KLTV, the crash occurred around 5:10 pm when a 2003 Freightliner box truck that was traveling eastbound on Hwy 64W collided with a 2003 GMC Envoy. Early reports suggest the Envoy may have turned in front of the truck.
Six people were in the Envoy, including four children between the ages of 8 and 16 years old.
One of the children was flown to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas with critical injuries. Two other children were flown to UT Health East Texas – Tyler, also with critical injuries. The two adults and another child were transported to UT Health by ambulance.
The two occupants of the truck were not injured.
Traffic was stopped in all directions of Hwy 64W as responders worked the scene.
