2 Dead, 1 Critically Injured in Fiery Fredericksburg Crash

Two people are dead and a third is in critical condition following a fiery two-car crash near Fredericksburg on Friday morning.

According to MySA, the responders arrived to the scene of a two-car crash on Highway 87 North near the RR 2323 intersection at around 6:15 am Friday.

Both cars were on fire when responders arrived. The City of Fredericksburg noted in a press release that two people were killed in the crash and a third person was hospitalized in critical condition.

It is unclear how the crash occurred. The incident remains under investigation.

Highway 87 was closed as crews worked the scene, but it has since been re-opened.
