8 People Are Injured, 2 Critically, Following a 3-Vehicle Crash in Terrell
Eight people are hospitalized as a result of a three-vehicle accident involving a pickup, an SUV, and a sedan in Terrell, Texas early Saturday evening.
Details of the Fatal Terrell Crash
CBS-DFW reports the crash occurred around 6:00 pm on Interstate 20 near FM 429.
Traffic was slowing due to congestion when the driver of the pickup failed to slow down and rear-ended a Kia Optima. The impact caused the pickup to go airborne and then strike a Chevy Equinox.
All four people inside the pickup were transported to Baylor Hospital in Dallas. One of the occupants was listed in critical condition.
One occupant of the Kia Optima was transported to UT Health in Tyler, and three others were taken to Methodist of Dallas where one was listed in critical condition.
The accident remains under investigation.
