Head-On Collision Kills Off-Duty Police Officer
An off-duty Brownwood police officer was killed when his pickup collided with a U-Haul truck that had veered into oncoming traffic.
About the Fatal Brownwood Crash
KTXS reports that Bryan Greenrock, 42, was killed Wednesday evening when he was involved in a wreck on Highway 183 near the Brownwood Regional Airport.
Police say a woman was traveling southbound in a U-Haul at around 6:30 pm when she lost control of the vehicle, overcorrected, and crossed into oncoming traffic. Greenrock tried to avoid the U-Haul but collided with the front right side of the vehicle.
Greenrock’s 11-year-old son was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, and the driver f the U-Haul was airlifted to a Waco hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
