One Killed, Another Injured in Omaha Motorcycle Accident
One man was arrested after he was involved in an accident that killed one person.
Details about the Fatal Accident
Multiple sources are reporting that a pickup driver failed to stop at a stop sign and caused an accident on Monday that killed a motorcyclist and injured a passenger on the motorcycle, according to Omaha Police.
48-year-old Daniel McDonald, of Omaha, was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident near 41st and Madison. The passenger of the vehicle, 49-year-old Patricia McDonald suffered from broken bones and several cuts and lesions and was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center to be treated for her injuries. The motorcycle caught fire as a result of the collision.
The driver of the truck who hit the motorcycle – 34-year-old Joseph Madej – did not report any injuries in the accident, and was arrested on suspicion of motor vehicle homicide and placed in jail.
