Russ Davis Wholesale’s “Crazy Fresh” produce line is facing its second recall this year for health risks concerning potentially Listeria-contaminated products.
According to FOX Business, a swift recall of the produce line throughout various states was recently initiated November 3rd in reaction to Russ Davis Wholesale’s partnership with the ingredient supplier Mann Packaging, Inc.
According to Mann Packaging, Inc., this was a voluntary recall concerning possible Listeria contamination. Listeria is a harmful bacterial organism that enters the body through food-borne infections. It can often lead to major health concerns among young children, mothers, and the elderly ranging from diarrhea and severe headaches to miscarriages.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) developed to ensure public health and safety through the nation’s food supply, supported the recall. Consumers and store owners in participating locations were instructed to immediately dispose of the items if purchased or stocked.
