Police have arrested the driver of a tractor-trailer believed to have been involved in a fatal collision near Refugio on Saturday. The crash left two motorcyclists dead.
According to the Caller Times, the crash occurred around 10:20 PM about 2 miles south of Refugio.
Troopers say a Freightliner was traveling north on U.S. Highway 77 when it attempted to make a left turn from the right lane in a crossover. Two motorcyclists traveling in the left lane of northbound U.S. 77 collided with the tractor-trailer.
Both motorcyclists, identified as Glenn Bewayne Bray, 44, and Christine Diane Thames, 50, were killed in the collision.
The truck driver failed to stop and render aid. The driver was stopped in Woodsboro and was arrested for suspicion of fleeing the scene of an accident.
