Two people are dead following a violent two-vehicle crash near Kilgore, Texas this weekend.
According to reports, the fatal crash occurred on Highway 259 near FM 349 around 3:58 pm Sunday.
A police investigation has determined that a Nissan car was traveling southbound on Highway 259 when it drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a 1999 Saturn.
The driver of the Saturn, identified as Dakota Patrick Harris, was flown to a hospital in Tyler with critical injuries. He later died. The driver of the Nissan, 79-year-old Mary Virginia Cameron, was transported to a Longview hospital where she too died of her injuries.
