Two Killed in Head-On Collision on North Freeway Near Rayford
Two people are dead following a wrong-way crash on North Freeway in the Woodlands.
Details of the Fatal Wrong-Way Crash
KHOU reports that the fatal crash occurred around 1:45 am Sunday morning.
Police said five people were trapped inside one of the vehicles following the crash, but it is currently unclear which vehicle the two deceased people were in or if they were among the five trapped individuals.
The accident remains under investigation, and it is unknown if charges will be filed.
The stretch of Interstate 45 where the crash occurred is considered to be one of the deadliest roadways in the country.
