Two Killed in Milam County Head-On Collision
Texas authorities have identified two men killed in a head-on collision along a rural highway in Milam County.
Details of the Fatal Milam County Head-On Collision
KWTX reports that the fatal crash occurred around 7 am Tuesday on U.S. Highway 79 between CR 360 and CR 380, roughly two miles west of Milano, Texas.
Preliminary reports suggest Antonio Reyes, 33, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 79 in a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze when he crossed over the centerline and into oncoming traffic. His vehicle collided head-on with a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup driven by 79-year-old William Hobbs.
Both Hobbs and Reyes were killed in the collision.
The accident remains under investigation.

- Head-on collisions accounted for 638 traffic deaths.
- An additional 265,076 people were injured in motor vehicle crashes in 2016.
- Based on reportable crash data for 2016, TxDOT estimates:
- One person was killed in a crash every 2 hours and 20 minutes.
- One person was injured every 1 minute and 59 seconds.
- A reportable crash occurred every 57 seconds.
