A fatal single-vehicle accident occurred early Wednesday morning in East Travis County. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, which happened around 3:00 am on FM 969 near Bantom Woods Bend.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, a vehicle struck a pedestrian, resulting in the death of the adult victim at the scene. The roadway closure on FM 969 between Imperial Drive and FM 973 has since been lifted, as of 6:45 am.
