A 38-year-old man is dead as a result of a motorcycle accident in north Austin.
KXAN reports the crash occurred in the 13000 block of North Lamar Boulevard on July 16 around 10:53 pm.
Police say the accident occurred when a Suzuki motorcycle struck the back right side of a white BMW. The rider of the motorcycle, Michael Deon Fields, was pronounced dead soon after at 1:43 am July 17.
The Austin Police Department reported this as the 63rd fatal traffic accident in Austin this year and the 68th traffic death. At this time in 2020, there were 43 fatal crashes resulting in 46 deaths.
