Two people were hospitalized Thursday night as a result of a six-vehicle collision on San Antonio’s Northeast Side.

About the San Antonio Crash

According to KSAT, the crash occurred at the intersection of N. Weidner Road and Wurzbach Parkway. A woman was speeding on Wurzbach when she lost control and slammed into five other vehicles that were stopped at a stoplight.

The woman’s vehicle left the road and came to rest in a grass area off the shoulder. The woman was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center.

Another driver, also a woman, was taken to a hospital. Details on her injuries and condition were not immediately available.

Investigators are investigating the crash and are working to determine if alcohol was a factor in the collision. They did confirm, however, that speed played a role in the crash.
