Erica Jackson

Mrs. Erica Jackson was raised in Stafford, Texas, a small town near Houston, Texas. Mrs. Jackson received her Bachelor of Arts from Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas. There she received numerous professional and scholastic honors, such as graduating with Cum Laude honors, receiving the designation as highest-ranking political science student, and being named a Hatton W. Sumners and W. E. B. Dubois Scholar. At Huston-Tillotson University, Mrs. Jackson inducted into the Beta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in 2010. To date, Erica is an active member of her sorority and enjoys providing supreme service to her community with her sorority sisters.

Upon matriculation, Mrs. Jackson pursued her juris doctor at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on academic scholarship. There, she participated in Women in Law, sat as the only student on the university’s curriculum committee, and was the chairperson for Law Week 2015. As a law student, Mrs. Jackson clerked for a personal injury law firm for two years and acted as a student attorney in the Southern University Divorce Clinic.

After passing the Louisiana Bar Exam, Mrs. Jackson began practicing personal injury law. Shortly after she began practicing, she also became licensed to practice in the Western District of the Louisiana federal court system. As a personal injury attorney, Mrs. Jackson has handled auto accidents, worker’s compensation, medical malpractice, and multi-district litigation of mass torts. Mrs. Jackson’s outgoing, fearless personality has assisted her in resolving several cases in excess of six figures early in her career. While in Louisiana, Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice and the National Association of Women Judges.

Prior to joining the TJH family, Mrs. Jackson served as an associate attorney for a civil rights/ personal injury firm in Jacksonville, Florida. There, Mrs. Jackson was given the opportunity to combine her career with her passion for civil liberties. She assisted with a variety of cases including personal injury, criminal, and civil rights. Most notably, Mrs. Jackson assisted in the drafting of a successful United States Supreme Court Writ which protected the civil liberties of her clients. Mrs. Jackson assisted on several high-profile cases that garnered local and national media attention. This allowed Mrs. Jackson to refine her communication skills as she dealt with celebrity clientele and major media outlets. While in Jacksonville, Mrs. Jackson was able to assist on an aviation case where military families were adversely affected due to the negligence of the air carrier. Helping the military families secure the recoveries they deserved was one of the highlights of Mrs. Jackson’s time in Florida. Her efforts in various cases led to judgments totaling an excess of seven figures.

In her free time, Mrs. Jackson enjoys reading, writing poetry, and crafting. Like many southern women, Mrs. Jackson enjoys cooking a home meal from scratch. Mrs. Jackson believes there are not many issues that cannot be resolved with a home-cooked meal, a thoughtful tongue, and a sincere smile. These ideals have assisted Mrs. Jackson greatly in her professional life. Mrs. Jackson prides herself on ensuring every client receives the highest level of service.

Currently, Mrs. Jackson is serving as a Briefing Attorney with a focus on commercial auto accidents in the Houston, Texas office of Thomas J. Henry Law. She is delighted to return her services to her home State of Texas. Most importantly, she looks forward to assisting Thomas J. Henry clients as they pursue the justice they rightfully deserve.
